Roughting Linn Waterfall

Roughting means ‘bellowing’ and Linn ‘pool’, but I have only seen the fall as a gentle  diaphanous thing. Situated close to the Rock, it has a beautiful form and shows many of the erosion features of the Duddo stones.

Closer to the rock there was Dusky Puffball (Lycoperdon nigrescens)

Porcelain fungus (Oudemansiella mucida) on a beech tree

On the woodland floor Sheathed Woodtuft (Kuehneromyces mutabilis)

Also seen Ochre Brittlegill,  red Russula (Beechwood sickener?) and Splitgill fungus.
